My last upload of the year......, Its been very hectic few months and I have not been shooting much. I have become a grandad again (3rd time this year lol) and my first grandson decided to come 7 weeks early (4lb 6oz) so there was lots of weekend hospital visits and not much photography time. At least he was home in time for Christmas.

The watch is a Luminox Navy SEAL Dive watch with Tritium (H3 radioactive isotope) Hands and Markers, Swiss movment, Water resistant to 200 mtrs, 40mm dia Black fiberglass reinforced polyester injection molded case and yes..... its bright yellow...

Taken in the back garden............ Ok thats a lie :o) It was taken at the Midland Game fair at Weston park in September. It was undercover in a Green tent (I desaturated the background) But I really like the way it came out.

I love shooting moving water and have shot this from a few angles over the years, this one I was up to my ankles in the water (Gortex walking boots are the best lol). Its the small fall at Roach End on the way to the Roaches...

I like the crops in the foreground and had to move around to get the wind pump in the gap in the trees. Like tones in the shot so converted it to B&W.

Taken at the end of May 2009.

Ranton Abbey was built around 1150 but all that remains is the 14th century tower. The building to the right is Abbey House (1820) was destroyed by fire during the second World War (1942) while being occupied by Dutch soldiers.

My Dad was over from Canada and we spent the morning shooting around Croxden Abbey (Consecrated in 1253 and active till Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1538). Its always nice to get time to photograph with my dad and we had a really good day...

My Uncle asked me to have a look at a old photo he had. It was on glass and lots of areas were flaking off. I have not really done much work like this but I enjoyed it and dont think it came out too bad. I wanted to keep it looking authentic, so did not want to take it too far.

I was 41 at the end of May and this was one of my presents, Its a handmade limited edition (only 10 made) RLT41 with a full lume face. It has the 25 jewels Swiss automatic movement (Eta 2824-2). This was a low light shot to show of the brightness of the face. 5 seconds @ f11

Not been here for a while but was on a few days off from work and though it would be nice to have a walk along the river. There has been some damage done to the bridge since I was last here and the whole of the top section has been smashed off. Hope they manage to restore it soon.

The Tour series Cycle Race Stoke on Trent

The Tour Cycle Race round 7 was hosted in Hanley Stoke on Trent. Ten teams of five riders raced around the town centre. The race started at 7pm and I managed a few shots in the early evening light. I wanted to capture the speed of the racers and show plenty of movement.

Shots from the Potteries half Marathon. We were at two locations supporting my nephew who runs for Staffordshire Moorlands, he was completing it as part of a relay team and we watched him start from the Beverley pub then went to watch him finish in Hanley.
