Oulton Park Track Day

Spent three hours at Oulton park race circuit photographing the Motorbike’s, Its only the 2nd time I have done track photography and they are a lot quicker than the 4x4’s I normally photograph when I am in motor sport mode. I enjoyed trying something different and don’t think they are too bad, although I did take a lot of shots to get these 108 photos.

Another shot from The Gauntlet Birds of Prey Centre. This one was hard to get right, it was in a small hut and the back was made up of twigs hanging down. The first few I tried the Eagle blended into the background too much so I boosted the flash to light him up a bit...

I must admit at first I past over this shot and was not going to post it to flickr, I did however post it on my facebook feed and it got a few comments so I thought I would have another look at it and the more I see it the more it grows on me :o)

The reason I initially ruled it out is the patten in the background, its caused by an out of focus tree branch in the snowy field behind the fence. Let me know what you think :o)

Another wintry shot, well it has been cold for months now... The sun was shining (I know that rare these days) so I placed it behind the tree to add some backlighting, You can make out the snow flakes in the sky (its not sensor dust, honest) as there was a snow shower going on at the same time, typical British weather :o)

Birds of Prey and Places to Pray

My Dad was over visiting from Canada and we spent the day in the Knutsford area, firstly at the Gauntlet Birds of Prey Eagle and Vulture Park then on the way home we stopped at Lower Peover church. It was a sunny but somewhat cold day but as always had fun being out with Dad. Not sure who took the most photos but know I had a good day :o)

Spent the morning in the Goyt Valley. The weather was rubbish, the light was flat and grey and it was very misty but as Dad was only over from Canada for two weeks, it was now or never... We had a good day out, even if the photos were not so good :o)

My last upload of the year......, Its been very hectic few months and I have not been shooting much. I have become a grandad again (3rd time this year lol) and my first grandson decided to come 7 weeks early (4lb 6oz) so there was lots of weekend hospital visits and not much photography time. At least he was home in time for Christmas.

The watch is a Luminox Navy SEAL Dive watch with Tritium (H3 radioactive isotope) Hands and Markers, Swiss movment, Water resistant to 200 mtrs, 40mm dia Black fiberglass reinforced polyester injection molded case and yes..... its bright yellow...

I love shooting moving water and have shot this from a few angles over the years, this one I was up to my ankles in the water (Gortex walking boots are the best lol). Its the small fall at Roach End on the way to the Roaches...
